Samsung Galaxy S8 – The Beyond Limits Phone

Recently, the sequel of the Samsung Galaxy – the S8 appeared on the technology market. It was highly welcomed and its upgrades are bizarre and extremely developed. The camera, design, presentation, performance and literally everything about this device is worth the money and we should all appreciate the effort of the scientists behind the whole project.

The Galaxy S8 has the well-known to Samsung fans, 5.8″ big Quad HD+ Super AMOLED presenting images on 2960×1440 pixel resolution and is perfectly curved at the sides, for optimal video presentation and reliability. The Dual 12MP camera is also considered as one of the best out there on the market and you could shoot professional videos, and no one will ever consider that a phone could take such high-quality videos.

Design

The design of this device and the effort that the engineers and scientists put behind it are for admirations. The dedication and eventually, the result, could be easily seen in this technological masterpiece. As most products on the market, this new version of the S8 also brings up another one with it – the S8+, which is almost the same, but slightly bigger.

The normal S8 is with the size of 5.8inches and the dimensions of 48.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm.The other S8+ version is 6.2inches big and has the 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm dimensions. Both have curved Quad HD+ Super AMOLED with 2960×1440 resolution displays, and the S8+ weights only 173g, just 18grams more than the generic one. The whole design seems simple, but in my opinion, the phone is a little bit too big. It has everything, undoubtedly, but many users find it long and impractical if you try to use it with one hand.

The best change in the design, that differs it from others, is the separation of the volume buttons and the power one. While the power button stays on the right side, the 2 volume buttons have been moved to the left so that you don’t accidentally switch off your phone, instead of your volume.

On the back, the phone has the “S” series familiar look. The camera sits in the center of the mid-top and next to it there is a fingerprint sensor, which you could use as a safety option to unlock your phone with your finger. Some users had complaints, that its hard to reach for left-handed people and right ones too and that it should’ve been placed lower.

Camera

The front one is 8MP, while the rear one is Dual-Pixel 12MP and is able to save files in “RAW” format, just like a professional camera. Both have VDIS, filters, stabilization and other cool features, that add to the final result and camera quality. One of the best things is, that it could work underwater because the phone is water-resistantly protected and this will be perfect for underwater pictures. The Galaxy S8, like the Google Pixel, shows it’s as much about the optics and sensor as how the software and image signal processor (ISP) work together.

The developers from Samsung again upgraded and set the bar higher, than expected after the incredible S7 version last year. Because of the phone delivered quickness by the hardware, you can easily notice how the camera opens up by tapping the home button twice, than any other phone on the market. My favorite ability of this camera is the way that it catches the colors at night or low-light rooms. I have not seen a camera, that could take such deep and real-color pictures and does not require lots of light.

Performance and specs

This device is perfectly created to work at top-notch speed and support you with any task that you perform on it. The used processor is Octa-core clocked at 2.3GHz, with Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835  chipset. The internal storage is 64GB with 4GB RAM, and the internal could be upgraded up to 256GB with a micro SD card. Wireless connections such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth have been also upgraded at the maximum optimal level and work faster than ever before.

All the system is operated by an Android 7.0 (Nougat), which is the latest Android version and quickly gained followers. The audio system is incredible and the outcome is pretty clean and pure, and the device could be also connected simultaneously to two different Bluetooth-connected speakers for even more loudness.
