OnePlus 5T – What To Expect

Today, on 16th November 2017, the new android OnePlus 5T phone got released. It was highly anticipated by fans worldwide and gained an enormously big audience way before the release. The smart gadget has everything you need in one and is a fair competitor of the iPhone or the S series by Samsung. The combination of hardware and software, alongside with the clear and pure design, is more than incredible and grabs you at first sight.

The powerful 20MPrear and 16MP front cameras have boundless possibilities and easily let you capture lots of important and memorable moments on both 64GB and 128GB internal storage versions. Driven by a beasty Qualcomm processor, the device operates smoothly on Oxygen operating system, based on Android. With all the smart sensors and features included, it’s surely a top-class phone right now, and it will not let the waiting fans down.

Design

Working with the phone feels really satisfying and smooth. It has the size of 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.25 mm and weighs only 153g. The beautifully cornered edges and the anodized aluminum, that is used as the main material, feel and look perfect in the two offered colors -Soft Gold and Slate Gray. The optic AMOLED display (with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) is 5.5-inch big and is the perfect size for a phone, not too small, and big enough to provide the user with a presentation at the best level possible. It is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The design is created to the point, where every detail comes together to create an unrivaled user experience. The smartphone looks sleeker than ever, thanks to the Horizon Line, that continuous hard line wraps beautifully around the device, resulting in beautiful shadows when placed in the light. The display also offers different modes that support you and maximalizes the performance, depending on what you on it. Features like reading mode, night mode, lift up display and ambient display are all added to this sophisticated and capable smartphone.

The only buttons are for volume, power and a home one on the front. The overall design is nice, clean, smart looking and really light for a phone with such hardware inside. It is going to be one of the phones that fight for the top-selling spots on the market, so it’s less likely to let users down.

 Performance and specs

The phone does not only look but most definitely backs the looks up, with the offered performance. It’s selling in two versions of internal storage – a 64 and 128 gigabytes, like most models out there. To start off, the processor used in this machine is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, clocked at 2.4GHz, with Adreno 540 GPU. Similar to the internal storage, the RAM also has two versions, that are 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4X.

It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, which is the latest and highest class version out there. The battery is unremovable and could be charged to the fullest in just 30 minutes, which will give you a day lasting energy that’s just enough for such a powerful phone. The port, that is used for charging is a common USB one, so you won’t have a hard time finding a charger for it if you forget your own at home.

In terms of audio, it has a bottom-facing speaker and 3-microphones with noise cancellation that assures good sound quality while using it for talking. One of the good things about this phone is that it supports a 3.5mm jack, and it’s located on the bottom lid, which is the best place for such a connection port, and you surely won’t find it’s presence disturbing while operating on the device.

Camera and price

In my opinion, the camera is one of the best features of this gadget. It features a 16MP front one, and a 20MP main, both with Sony IMX sensors. It has a dual LED flash, so it’ll surely perform well at taking photos at dark spaces or night time. Modes for portrait, pro mode, panorama, HDR, HQ, dynamic denoise, clear image, RAW image are all included as features and set-ups for the main camera, so you can quickly use the presets and shortcuts for the best moment in each and every moment.

If you decide to shoot videos with the OnePlus 5T you can even record professional ones because the camera has the ability to capture video at a 4K quality, so you have to be always prepared for action! The device has an installed software, that lets you easily edit basic things about the video, and easily share it with friends through different social media platforms with all the shortcuts needed for easy access.

The price of the device is 499,00 € for the 64GB version with 6GB RAM, and only 60 euros more for the 128GB and 8GB RAM one, which is amazing! Only 60 euro pricing difference is not that much, if you keep in mind that it’d be almost double the specs of the generic version – it is surely a better offer.
