Apple TV 4K – Stream Your Favorite Shows In 4K Quality

Apple is well known for their creative ideas that are holding them at the top for years. Recently, they released their 5th generation Apple TV, that now supports 4K. If you are not familiar already, the Apple TV is a well-known device that you connect to your TV and control at any time and play shows or movies by your own preference. It is Siri-integrated, with incredible remote control and many, many features.

“Bring the magic of the cinema straight to your living room with the new Apple TV 4K,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “Customers will love watching stunning 4K HDR movies from an impressive catalog on iTunes, while also getting automatic upgrades of 4K HDR movies already in their iTunes library and enjoying 4K content on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, coming soon.”

With support for both 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR), Apple TV 4K features unbelievably sharp, crisp images, richer, more true-to-life colors, and far greater detail in both dark and bright scenes. With Apple TV 4K, viewers can enjoy a growing selection of 4K HDR movies on iTunes. You can watch sports games that you’ve missed, favorite shows or listen to any song that you want. Whatever you decide, you can tell the Siri-integrated ergonomic remote control, and it will decode it and do it for you in a second.

Presentation and features

The fact, that the same A10X Fusion chip powers the iPad Pro will power this Apple TV device, tells us that it’s capable of more than enough in terms of delivering high-quality 4K or HDR experience. If you are wondering right now whether this Apple product will support your 4K TV, well most probably it does because it supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10 and it does it perfectly, whether it’s an older HDTV or the latest 4K Dolby Vision OLED. It’s also smart and does not need any additional changes to the picture-quality presentation because it reads and analyzes your 4K TV’s capabilities optimises setup for the best quality picture and presentation.

One of my favorite things about this device is that it also operates with the help of Siri, which is famous as the easiest way on earth to communicate with a device via your voice and do things without lifting a single finger. You can set off commands like “Play me Training Day movie with Denzel Washington” or you can tell it to show you the available movies at 4K just by saying “Show me movies in 4K”. This makes it easy for you to track sports games, favorite movies, news and literally anything that you are interested in easily and effortlessly.

You can also share with ease movies or other data, using AirPlay from your iPhone or iPad iOS devices directly to the TV and from Apple say that the next generation of Apple TV will support 2 compatible speakers as well as your home theater speakers to create the ultimate home music experience, which is incredible and will be perfect if the Apple TV next year support Dolby Atmos and then it will be the best available all-in-one device that you need if you love TV, movies or music.

How is it controlled, and what’s the pricing?

Among all features, I have to emphasize on the fact that I love the control system of this device! It has a small 124×38 mm remote control, with all the action buttons you need to operate it. The ones for Menu and TV/Home are on the first next to each other, with a Siri, Volume and Play/Pause ones beneath. The actions that you need most are located on the top of the device, and they are not buttons. The two microphones built-in, under the upper lid, are there for you to detect your voice commands and above all the previously said buttons is a touch-pad surface that you use to browse through apps and navigate the whole system.

This device has two versions at a different price. It has a 32GB version, which is worth at $179 and a 64GB one at $199, just like most devices on the market that have differentiation in their pricing and storage-capability. If I have to be honest $20 for double the amount of GB’s is not much, but the overall price of the device may seem a little bit high. It actually is, but I think that’s because Apple feature movies at 4K at the lowest price on the market, so that combined with the numerous features it has will pay off eventually.
