Amazon Fire TV – 4K Ultra HD & Alexa Integrated

With the continuous development of broadcasting, movie industry, media attention and streaming, products like Amazon’s Fire TV and Apple’s TV 4K started to pop-up. They gained quick attention and worldwide audience. Now the Fire TV is getting enhanced with 4K Ultra HD compatibility and has a new voice-control system integrated, for easier browsing, with almost no button-clicking needed.

Amazon Fire TV is capable of playing shows and movies in the highest commercial resolution available today: 3840 × 2160 or 2160p and comes at the fairest price possible, too! You’ll completely fall in love with it if you are a person who happens to often watch TV. By far it’s getting great reviews and there are not many serious complaints about the product, so I guess that it will fit your needs, as well as come up to your expectations.

Design

The design of this device is incredible. It is smaller than the 2015 2nd generation Fire TV and you could literally carry it in your pocket. It has a square form, with a shiny upper featuring a big white Amazon logo on the top. The exact dimensions are 2.6” x 2.6” x 0.6” and the connection between the TV and the Fire TV device happens with a USB that is hanging from the small box.

If the ports of your TV are located on the back, you’ll remain its clean look because the box is small enough to perfectly hide behind the screen and could hardly be seen while watching. When being connected, it literally hangs from your TV and is always ready for commands that happen with a push of a button on the remote control, and while holding it you demand your needs with voice commands. The fact that it is a small gadget may bring out the suspicion that it’s not packing a powerful hardware and capabilities, but that’s sure not the case with this one.

Hardware, performance, and connectivity

Size does not matter in most cases, so this is a fair example. It may be small but offers a platform and hardware for streaming that could hardly be found in any other product at this price range. It’s powerfully backed-up by a Quad-core Amlogic processor, that’s clocked up at 1.5GHz with Mali450 MP3 GPU. This allows you to quickly search and find what you need with no lag experienced. In terms of internal storage capacity, it’s not that much but only in terms of internal! It is only 8GB internal with 2GB RAM but offers limitless cloud storage for all Amazon content.

All these options that I mentioned require a connection, and more accurately – a wireless one, for easier work and the cleanest look. It has a dual-antenna Wi-Fi connection for faster streaming and fewer dropped connections than standard Wi-Fi. Not just Wi-Fi but Bluetooth 4.2 is also included, as it serves as the quickest and easiest way of pairing two devices.

Speaking of performance, It’s a promising platform that won’t ever let you down when you want to chill in front of the TV. Its quick access is assured with the integrated Alexa voice control, that happens by clicking the button on the top of the controller. While you are holding it, it records your speech and digitally decodes it, so it can form it in a way that it could be navigated then to the internet search engine and that speech quickly turns in a command, due to the powerful GPU and CPU inside. The fact that the console is almost wireless (if you include the TV USB method of pairing), means that the device has to be occasionally charged, which happens with a micro-USB port located in the corned, positioned under the Amazon logo on top.

Software and 4K presentation

Behind all these complicated-sounding features, there is an operating system called FireOS. It is, in other words, an Android-based software, which is focused almost entirely on helping you access content quickly and easily, with a very obvious bias towards the Amazon ecosystem. You may not get the most out of it unless you register your account as a prime one. Therefore, you get access to all the Amazon content, limitless cloud space, and other fun activities. You’ll fall in love with the software, due to its quickness, responsiveness, and capability of running almost anything you want at any time given.

The presentation is another key factor, if not the biggest one. For the price of  $69.99 you get the full set, and for $5 more you get an HD antenna as well. Considering the price, the presentation is beyond the roof! ith a compatible 4K Ultra HD and High Dynamic Range (HDR) TV, watch as thousands of movies and TV episodes come to life in vibrant colors and detailed contrast. On Fire TV, it’s never been easier to access thousands of 4K Ultra HD movies and TV episodes from Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. Enjoy live TV, including sports and news, as it airs. Plus, stream millions of songs through Prime Music, Spotify, and iHeartRadio. Subscription fees may apply.
