Dell Latitude 7380 – Compact And Light Laptop

For people on the go, a laptop that’s lightweight, powerful, ergonomic and business-looking are the factors that’ll suit them most, and this is exactly the aim of the high-class Dell Latitude 7380. It has the classy looks, and the supportive hardware&software to work perfectly under any circumstances. The price will probably not suit all because you’ll hardly happen to find it under $1199, but it’s a laptop that’s in other words – for people of higher working class.I am not sure why exactly, but it gives me that feel as if it’s the sophisticated looks that born this idea, so I’ll let you decide. Leaving the design and looks aside and actually looking inside, you’ll see a powerfully packed laptop with numbers out of the roof. The processor is from Intel I-series and is the 7th generation, but you could choose from 6th generation ones. Long-living battery will support you through the whole day and will take a small period of time to recharge. Internal, as well as RAM storage, are not both well provided on this new 2017 Dell Latitude, that operates smoothly on Windows 10 Pro. The internal could’ve been better, but a slot for a memory card is provided.

Design and ports

As I already said, I feel the design thoroughly and I’d definitely be one of those who’d shoot for an option like this if the price was not that high. This laptop is perfect for carrying around because it only weighs 1.17kg! Props to the engineers for this kind of success and to the ones who designed this whole concept. The feel while typing is pretty smooth and you actually feel your fingertips hovering on the keyboard. The screen is coming at 13.3″ size with Full-HD but lacks touchscreen as an option. With the thin frame on the sides, the display looks big and just the right size, that combines simplicity, looks, ergonomics, and functionality.

The backlit keyboard shines in dark spaces and lets you easily see if you still have to look at, what button are you clicking, so you don’t make mistakes while typing. Under the keyboard, there’s a big touchpad with 2 clicking buttons serving as action, the left, while the right works as a menu one. The power button is located at the very top-right corner.

As a whole, the material used for the design are good and durable, not only stylish and eye-catching. The backlit is all plain, with only the Dell logo in the middle of the whole back side. There’s a Dell logo featuring on the front, lower lid, just beneath the display and above the keyboard.

Hardware and specs

Powerful hardware and big numbers are all there on the inside, keeping a beasty dual-core Intel I-7 processor, clocked up at the speed of 2.4GHz with a 3M cache. The high-quality presentation is assured not only by the Anti-Glare Full-HD display but by the Intel HD Graphics 620 as well. It is a fair rival to all the top-selling laptops out there. It is a good choice, but could’ve cost less, which would’ve made it the best option above all with no second thoughts!

Internal storage provided is only 128GB, upgradable to 256GB, but a slot for memory SD is provided. The RAM storage is 4GB on the generic, upgradable to 8GB of the most powerful 7380 model. Once connected online, you have many options for cloud storage from Google or other providers, so you won’t happen to lack space if you order and divide your files correctly and tidy.

The battery life is estimated at 13 hours, falling back behind Apple’s 17 hours, which is more than perfect for a powerful laptop like this. This is a perfect model for people who move a lot and need a platform on which they could work at any place. Its weight of 1.13kg is phenomenal for the hardware and performance provided. The problems with the storage it has are easy to solve, so I don’t actually count them as a con. The only con remains the price, but it’ll certainly drop in time – for now, it’s still new.

It’s good for light gaming, so I don’t suggest you try hard games while you are not near a place where you could charge it. Not only will they drain your battery, but will quickly fill your internal storage and will cause lag in your system. A good maintenance is always required, with any type of machine, not just laptops, so a good level of support is provided from Dell company as always. You get 5-year warranty, so you don’t have to worry about anything else, except taking good care of your product, so that it could last long-time if you are planning so.
