The $12 Smart Watch!

So far we’ve seen lots of great smartwatches. The Asus ZenWatch and Apple’s newest smartwatch series are all great, but let’s be straight – not all of us can afford it. People who’d like to have a smartwatch, but don’t want to spend a fortune for a smartphone on your wrist, can benefit from a cheaper version.

In the next few lines, we’ll discuss the cheapest and best version for those who’d like to save up their money. Actually, the watch that we’ll review, along with Lewis from UnboxTherapy, comes at the price of just $12, which is an insane bargain. Price may fool you as the watch has lots of great opportunities, so make sure you read the article thoroughly and you’ll surely fall in love with this cheap gadget.

What does this $12 watch have?

To start with, straight out of the box you can see the gold-plated body of the watch that in my opinion is not the best colorway possible. The watch looks nice and I’ll never actually tell that it’s only $12. There’s a camera on the upper lid and a charging port on the right side of the bezel but what amazes me most is that the watch has a touchscreen display. This brings lots of other features on its own and it actually has everything that a high-end smartwatch has. A speaker and microphone are also provided, so prepare for the best further.

On the back, when you take the panel off and open up the watch, you can see that there is a SIM card slot, which means that you can literally use that $12 watch as a smartphone. Next to the SIM slot, there’s another one for micro SD card, that enables you to expand the internal storage and feel free to share audio/media files through the Bluetooth integrated connection.

What can it do?

Aside from the ability to make calls and share media files, the phone can do lots of other things. It lacks Wi-Fi connection, but you can use your mobile internet to go on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp, which I didn’t expect at all. I still can’t understand how does it cost $12 when it has all these social apps on it.

If you have to make quick maths, you can use the integrated calculator and I personally find this really handy. The camera is not high-quality at all, but it will be good for spying on someone. It has a microphone and a speaker also, so you can record not only video but audio as well. It’ll be the perfect gadget to spy on someone and record information that he does not want to be leaked or that’ll expose something vast.

Another cool thing about this product, is that it has a health tracking ability. It has a calorie counter and step counter, that’ll help you calculate your daily activity and how much calories left you have to consume.A sleep monitor is also included, so you can see the time without unlocking the watch and it actually looks like a regular watch with this mode on. If you are a guy who tends to be always late, you’ll find the alarms and reminders of best use.

Overall, this smartwatch is great for the given price and by looking at it I can’t believe how cheap is it. It lacks important things like Wi-Fi and longer battery life, but for this price tag, it’ll be funny if you start complaining. It’s the perfect gadget that you can use as a gift or a toy for a kid. Actually, it’s the perfect entry-level educational gadget for small kids that like to break stuff. Better break a $12 smartwatch instead of a $200 one…
