We’ve covered some of the best applications for iOS/Android and the best possible accessories for both iPhones and Galaxy S8. There are plenty of amazing apps on Google Store that deserve a shoutout, but the developers behind the whole project have to get the needed appreciation by the people.
In the following few lines, we’ll discuss the best, in my opinion, application for wallpapers that is available for the Galaxy S8 on Google Play. The simple and amazing app is called Walli and is free for most of the features that it brings, but if you happen to like it and get out the most of it you have to pay $3 for the membership, which is exactly the appreciation that I was talking about earlier. With one of the best smartphones out there in my hands, I’ll meet you with the whole concept of this great project.
What’s the app about?
This application is great if you like to frequently change your wallpapers and quickly get bored from the view of your current most-seen image. We all happen to lock/unlock our phones countless times a day, so it’s normal to get quickly bored from your wallpaper. Walli is like Instagram for wallpapers. The whole interface of the program reminds me exactly of Instagram.
As soon as you start the program up after the download, you’ll see a welcome greeting, that you have to click on to start the app.
After you click on Let’s Go, you’ll be directly thrown into the dashboard of this app. Doesn’t it remind you of Instagram in some way? It has four main sections on the top. A one for categories, recent, popular and featured. Right above them is the search engine for the app with the marketplace shortcut next to it. On the upper left corner is the “Menu” button that’ll open up a plenty of other options.
Sections
–Categories: this section will open up a wide variety of categories for you. If you know what you particularly want to set as a wallpaper, it will be easier for you to go ahead and find the right category, open it up and search the countless wallpapers available.
–Recent: clicking on this field will bring up the most recently uploaded images and will order them in that way. If you create your own personal profile you can add your favourite artists or friends, and their latest artworks will show on top as soon as they get uploaded.
–Popular: this one will show you the most downloaded and liked images. It is made for easier and quicker choice. In this section often you can find the best wallpapers available, but the fact that it was liked from others, does not mean that you’ll necessary like them, so if you know what you exactly are searching for, you can just use the Category section or search engine at the top right corner. Let me show you my personal favourites, that I found while browsing through the app.
The purity and high-definition of the images are amazing, but you will understand that as soon as you get that app on your Samsung S8. It is used by 5,000,000 people worldwide and the overall rating is 4.9 out of 5.0 stars, so I bet that you’ll enjoy it as well. The images were taken by Huawei P9 Lite, which when filtered does not bring out the best of the images, but they look astonishing on the Super AMOLED 1440 x 2960 ppi. display!
How to set a wallpaper?
As soon as you find the most suitable image for you, from then on it’s easy. All you have to do is choose whether you want to download it on your device or just use it. You open up the image you’ve chosen, click on Download if you want it in your library, or just “Set As Wallpaper” if you are planning you change it soon. After you click and make your decision, the app will ask you for permission.
After you choose and download the wallpaper, the app will ask you how you want to set it. You can choose by “Rectangle” and “Square” view modes and the application will smartly suggest the best fit option for your device. I’ve made my choice and went with the advice from the app and the result was great.
I really like the whole theme and project. It is really quick, comfortable, handy and it definitely transforms your whole device. It would be a huge misunderstanding if you’ve got a device with a screen like this and use a wack wallpaper. If you want a membership to get the most out of the app, you can do it by clicking on the upper left “Menu” section and it will bring up the login and upgrade options.
You will surely benefit from the fun and possibilities offered by the premium membership, but it’s all up to you. This Walli app brings plenty of free aspects that you can benefit from on its own, so if you decide not to pay for the rest of the locked options, then do it for the developers to stimulate and help them.
