Huge Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ Leaks!

A couple of weeks ago we’ve gathered all the information that was known for the Galaxy S9, but a couple of days ago some huge leaks showed up online, which gave away most of the information about the device and confirmed some important aspects that were rumored for a long time. A guy on Reddit shared his thoughts after being able to operate with the device for 20mins days before the official release of the smartphone!

This quickly gained the attention of lots of people and it is understandable – the information is intriguing and accurate, so special thanks to Evan Blass who leaked all this awesome information. Read thoroughly if you want to know what to expect from this record-breaking smartphone!

How does it look?

To be honest – it is not significantly different from the Samsung Galaxy S8 and does not even need to be. The design of the Galaxy S8 was purely awesome and it just had some minor things that were not liked by the mass. Samsung is a company that has the reputation of taking critics into consideration, so they did some awesome work once again with fixing the problematic parts of the design.

The biggest difference from the S8 is the bezel, which is even thinner now and the position of the fingerprint sensor. It is now below the camera, instead of next to it. This will let users unlock it easier, without being stressed that they’ll let their device lose and drop it on the ground.

What will the specs be like?

In terms of specs, the device is expected to be close to the S8 again. The device will be selling in two options – a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch (S9+). Both phones will feature the same Super AMOLED displays at 2960 x 1440 in the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and will continue to be rated as IP68 for water and dust resistance. Same security options and batteries will be available as well. The regular Galaxy S9 will feature a 3,000mAh, while the S9 Plus will feature a 3,500mAh one.

Only in the United States Of America, the Samsung Galaxy S9 could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, which will help it take better pictures and video, enable new artificial intelligence improvements, and result in overall better and more efficient performance. The Snapdragon could help improve the battery life on Samsung’s Galaxy S9 without physically larger batteries, too.The Samsung Galaxy S9 that will be sold in other parts of the world might use Samsung’s own Exynos processor instead of the Snapdragon, which news is reported by CNBC. If you ask me, this idea sounds ridiculous and if it’s a smartphone, then it should be the same for all regions and parts of the world.

Release date and pricing

Rumor has it, that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will start the pre-orders just after it’s announcement on February 25-th at the MWC. The date of official release has yet to be confirmed but it is speculated that it will start at 8th of March. The price is expected to be higher than the Galaxy S8 device, ranging between $800 & $950.
