Google And LG Will Release The Best VR Set In May

Collaborations between leading companies turn out pretty interesting and bring up the level of innovation very high. It has been stated that at May this year we’ll be able to see such collaboration between Google and LG. These two companies will present an 18-megapixel 4.3-inch OLED headset with a 1443ppi display and refresh rate higher – it will be 120Hz.

This product will be displayed at the DIsplay Week 2018 show, which will be held at the very end of May. The new OLED headset display will have a wide field of view and high acuity. Actually, the specs of the forthcoming headset are better than most of what’s on the market, not all to be honest. Screens like the new HTC Vive Pro and Oculus Rift only boast total resolutions of 2880 x 1600 and 2160 x 1200, which is high for our current standards.

The program does not reveal any further details, but our take is that the product will be amazing and will feature awesome tech within. The presented image will be clear, beautiful and high-definition for sure and will be possibly within a high range of resolution.

The next step for virtual reality could be headsets with pixel-dense displays, which could solve problems like when the boundaries between pixels are visible or when diagonal lines look rough and sharp. It’s still unclear if Google and LG will be able to deliver such an extremely high-resolution VR display in a consumer headset this year, so only time and passion will tell.

In order to answer to critics and competition, I am sure that Google will not let to embarrass themselves in front of millions of consumers. They are known for always releasing products that beat the rival companies with ease, so I suppose that the case with this headset will be similar. LG displays had strong improvements in the way they produce their stock, so I can’t wait to see the outcome of the collaboration between these 2 great technology giants!
