How To Boost The Volume Of iPhone Speakers?

Apple’s iPhone is great when it comes to the performance of its speakers, but there are people who tend to listen to music in maximum volume and often the scale is not enough for them. I am such a person and when I listen to music I can say that the membranes of the speakers are in danger always! What can you do if you want to increase the volume, but it is already maxed out on the device?

That’s the point when DIY ideas come in handy and you’ll have to be a bit creative in order to get the fullest out of the audio performance. There are some interesting tips and tricks that you can do and follow, which brought up this idea to my mind. They won’t replace the flagship speakers on the market, but they’ll do just fine if there’s nothing else you can do at this moment.

DIY iPhone Speaker

The first and best thing that you can try, is to create your own DIY iPhone speaker out of materials that you can find almost anywhere. What you’ll need for this project are toilet paper or paper towel roll and 2 plastic or paper cups. Pringle’s cups will do even better, so if you’re able to find such you’ll remain even more pleased with the outcome.

So, after gathering all the needed equipment, start with cutting a little slot in the toilet paper roll, large enough to fit your iPhone. Then cut a hole into the side of the 2 cups, large enough so they fit on each end of the roll. After you’re done you can put the iPhone and check the result of your work!

Late Night EQ preset

Have you tried the EQ settings for the device? If you do, you’ve probably seen the “Late Night” option. Well, what it differs it from the rest is that it actually boosts the volume level more than the other options, so it will be the easiest upgrade from all here. What is the downside of it, however, is that you may hear some distortion if you’re playing music maxed out with the Late Night EQ preset.

Put the phone upside down

As you know, the speakers of the iPhone are on the bottom, so they can redirect soundwaves from the surface that’s beneath them. This means that if you place the iPhone with the speaker facing in the air, the soundwaves will go everywhere. If you put them in a position, so there’s any surface against them, you’ll feel that the sound volume will pitch instantly!

Put the iPhone in a bowl

This last trick has been around for ages and people find it really helpful. You can do it with almost any deep bowl in your home, so you won’t find it any difficult. After finding a bowl, put your iPhone into it, but make sure that your speakers are facing the bottom of the bowl. This way, the sound waves will bounce off the bottom and sides, which will result in volume increase and kind of “surround” feeling.
