Nokia 2 – The $99 Phone, Perfect For Anyone

The smartphone Nokia 2 has already passed the required sales certificate. Most of the specs are leaked and the phone is not the most impressive one on the market, but it sure will be the most affordable and money-worth out there soon. It’s low budget smartphone, aimed at people of all kind who don’t want anything complex, but simple and handy. The specs, as I’ve said are not the best out there.

Nokia 2 will have a 4.7″ or 5″ display with 1280×720 HD resolution and Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.3GHz frequency. It has 8GB storage and works on Android 7.1.1. Nougat, but in future, it will upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. For $99 the phone is great for basically any reason. You can make calls easily (the phone is also light), use it for navigation, messenger, Facebook, read e-books or use it as an organizer. The release date is still unknown, but the phone is expected to release by the end of the year surely.

Design

The design of the smartphone is nothing special. It is simple, with no unneeded buttons on the front, just a camera on the top left corner, call-tweeter in the middle and the Nokia logo on the top-right. The only buttons that it has are for volume and lock on the right side. Moving on the back side, it has an 8 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash located in the top center of the phone, Nokia logo in the middle and a music-speakerĀ at the bottom right corner.

Specs and other info

To me, the idea of creating a smartphone aimed at most people is essential at times like this, when technology could not be afforded by anyone. We don’t need the fanciest or most powerful device to stay connected and always know the location of our close ones, make a call with a friend or use it for simple work duties.

On the other hand, I don’t like the fact, that the phone will have only 8GB internal storage and whether it’d have card-slot (it is still unconfirmed). The RAM memory of Nokia 2 will be 1GB. The display will be IPS LCD capacitive multitouch touchscreen with 16M colors. It will present the images made with either the front 5MP or rear 8MP camera good enough. It will support a 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth, and GPS, so if you happen to lose your $99’s you could find them easily.

To my beliefs, technology should be more accessible and affordable. We should embrace the idea of such phones, that have everything you need. Of course, it’s all marketing and business and I should say that Nokia is again doing it well, as it has been doing ever since 1980’s.
