Hisense 55N6800 – A Cheap 4K TV With Everything You Need

The technology market is full of models, varieties, and offers of 4K TVs. You can find a TV that’ll suit you the best, choosing it by your own preferences. If you’d like to get one of the top models right now, you have to spend at least 1200£, but companies like Hisense have a different point of view. With their latest 4K TV – The Hisense 55N6800 they made a smart move, creating and releasing a product that has all the features that a 4K TV should have and they are only selling it for 679£, which is really money-saving!

It has been released a couple of months ago, and it’s been receiving perfect feedback from users ever since it has been set up for sale. With its incredible design, 55-inch 4K Ultra HD and HDR screen and smart abilities, it will surely be an experience and an offer that you’ll regret missing!

Design

Different from other TVs in this aspect of the technology market, this model is equipped with a metal frame, skinny profile and slim bezel that gives it a smart, unassuming exterior. The display is 55-inch big, with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution, that’s been held by a clean and good-looking stand and can also be wall-mounted, it’s all up to you.

No matter where you mount it, you can see the picture perfectly and in maximum high-quality because the 55N6800 uses Edge Backlighting. This not only makes the TV slimmer but also works in conjunction with Local Dimming for a superior picture. By splitting the picture into 16 Local Dimming zones, the contrast between light and dark images on the screen can be more clearly defined, giving a more life-like picture.

In terms of connectivity, there are four HDMIs, though only two are HDMI 2.0 for 4K/60fps HDR video, with the other two HDMI 1.4 offering 4K/30fps. Aso, there are three USB ports, and both composite and component video inputs, with outputs including a headphone jack and an optical out for a soundbar connection.

Fans and users of this device, find the remote control as the only con of it. The fact that it’s made of not that high-quality materials is making it noisy when browsing through channels or the internet. I personally don’t think that for 679£ you can make complaints about the remote control. It even has a Netflix and Youtube button, so I think that it’s a fair one.

Picture quality and performance

The picture quality and performance of this TV is superb. With four times the resolution of Full 1080p HD, 4K (UHD) TV offers stunning detail and resolution for totally life-like realism. Even without a native 4K UHD signal, UHD upscaling means that you can scale up an ordinary HD signal to make the best of the screen. Get Netflix 4K or other 4K content and the image just keeps getting better. The wider color gamut is still noticeable though and gives HDR content a richer, more vibrant color palette that sets it apart from SDR. We’d just like it to have more punch behind it to make it a little more striking.

For seamless integration with your other devices, Anyview Cast and Anyview Stream let you share content from your smartphone, tablet or computer and show it on the big screen. It also has an HDR10 compatibility, that delivers brighter whites and darker blacks, helping to give this TV stunning levels of contrast. It’s also compatible with HLG. This looks set to be the high definition format used by broadcasters, giving you even more realistic pictures from TV programmes.

It continues to impress us with its smart capabilities, as it has a VIDAA U interface, which is a feature that lets
you catch-up to the services that you’d personally choose and enjoy. This VIDAA U interface includes a Freeview Play as a standard EPG, that lets you watch both live TV and rewind up to seven days, so you can never miss on your favorite show and not know what happened. Of course, the device is not as advanced and full of features as these from LG, Samsung, Apple and etc., but it’s only 679£ and I am sure that you’ll have a hard time searching for a better one at a lower price.
