Asus ZenWatch 3

Lately, not just phones or TV’s went smart but watches as well and through the years of growing up, I’ve never thought that the evolution will go this far. Never have I imagined, that I’ll use apps or control my watch through a touchscreen display that has more memory than my personal smartphone – 4GB internal storage. The ZenWatch model by Asus is surely a high-class device, that has an extended battery life compared to others and a luxurious, not-affordable looking design. It has been released this time last year but it is still relevant and highly appreciated.

It is incredibly clean, with quality leather strap and digital display, specially created for this top-notch smartphone and powerful configuration inside, for the most accurate time adjusting. It is easily controlled with only 3 buttons on the right and through the touchscreen display as well. The digital presentation adds to the sophistication of this watch and it’s the perfect present for any occasion, just prepare $229 and you’ll surely get one of the best presents for this price.

Design

The new generation ZenWatch 3 by Asus, has gone through many changes. The way how it looks on your hand is fabulous and feels great at the same time, too! The ZenWatch weighs only 48g and has the 10.8mm thickness.

To start off, on the front you see the AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that’s the same used as in the phones, so you have to really protect it a lot, no matter that it’s covered with a Gorilla Glass 3 – it does not ensure the required protection. The screen is 16-millions color rich with 400 x 400 pixels resolution and is extremely easy to handle. A diamond-cut bezel and intricately detailed setting add a further touch of refinement and precision. With ASUS ZenWatch 3, total luxury never looked so good. A new thin-bezel and three-button design redefines the smartwatch to provide quicker and easier operation. The customizable top button provides quick access to your favorite app or feature. The middle button provides a range of functions, including access to Interactive, Ambient, Theater, and Brightness Boost modes. The bottom button switches the watch to Eco Mode for the times you need extra-long battery life.

The body is made of grade 316L stainless steel and not only it is more durable but feels way more comfortable than any other material used for the body creation, until the very start of Zen series. The wrist wrap is made of leather and again adds to the design and ergonomic. It feels perfect to carry around and it’s easy and quick to adapt to its usage because you don’t feel it at all while wearing.

Performance

ZenWatch 3 is liked ever since day one and the performance has nothing to be judged for. It has internal storage of 4GBMB so you could store up all of your information and it’s also powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100, operating on a software that’s been specially created for smartwatches – Android Wear OS 2.0. This version of the software lowers the energy level used and is perfect for energy saving.

It also has a Wi-Fi connection, so you could always stay connected and Bluetooth 4.1 to pair it with other devices. It’s more of a phone, rather than a watch and includes similar to smartphones features which is outstanding for a device this small. Although it’s not that hard to damage the watch, you have to bear in mind that it’s water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes so it could survive if you happen to forget to take it off before a shower.

Many more features are built into this small and luxurious watch, including an MP3 player. The usage of this player may quickly drain your energy level, so if you are in a hurry and have to quickly charge your phone, you’ll surely do charge it up to 60% for less than 15 minutes, thanks to the HyperCharge technology and the magnetic charger used.
