AOC Agon AG272FCX – Curved Gaming Monitor

Even if you have the most powerful and capable gaming computer, the performance could be highly affected in any way by the monitor provided. Your computer may be created to support the latest games, but you might not get the most out of them if they are being presented on an old screen. That’s why the AG272FCX monitor by AOC was created.

It’s a curved 27″ display, with 16:9 ratio and all the things that a gamer would most definitely like, all-in-one!It’s adaptive sync and a high refresh rate are just a couple of the many features that this monitor has. You could use it in any room, no matter of the lightning because it hardly reflects lights that could get to your eyesight and it is one of the best at black/white/colorful presentation. The design is incredible and could be told that it’s from the AGON line from first sight.

Design

The design is incredible and really boosts the overall performance. It’s curved with almost no bezels which on a 27″ display looks amazing.  On the front, we could see nothing but the big screen and the AGON logo on the bottom lid. If you happen to trace the curve all the way around you would end up with a circle with a radius of 1800 millimeters  – hence its ‘1800R’ descriptor. That’s a more pronounced curve than you find on earlier 2000R or 3000R monitors and promises a rather cinematic and immersive experience.

Moving on to the back, the first thing you see is the embedded LEDs in a wing design that shines in blue, red and green LED colors. The bad thing about it is that it’s not fully RGB customizable, which means that it could shine only in these three colors but it has the option to be turned off if you decide to.he monitor’s stand allows it to be adjusted higher or lower, swivelled left or right, and tilted up or down. Given the curved nature of the screen, it’s unsurprising that rotation is not an option here.

Performance and presentation quality

With its 27″, the AOC AGON AG272FCX makes the premium features of AOC AGON curved monitors accessible to gamers looking for a medium-size display on their desk. Thanks to its impressive 1800 mm curvature radius, the display offers an immersive gaming experience. The AG272FCX’s 16:9 VA panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels lets game worlds truly shine in rich color and detail. Even in fast-paced scenes, graphics appear razor-sharp without annoyances such as tearing or stutter, which is a result of monitor’s 144 Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync support (compatible with FreeSync).

For an added level of responsiveness, the AOC Low Input Lag mode bypasses most of the monitor’s internal processing and to minimise input lag. The AOC Shadow Control option, on the other hand, adjusts shadow and light levels and helps gamers see more details in dark areas.

To make extended gaming sessions more comfortable, the AG272FCX also boasts several features for eye-protection and a healthy posture. The AOC Flicker-Free technology reduces flickering in order to prevent eyestrain, whereas the AOC Low Blue Light Mode minimises blue light and its potentially harmful effects.

With its easy-to-use height, tilt, and swivel adjustment functions, the AOC Ergo Base helps to keep the right posture and prevent back or neck pain. The stand also comes with a convenient carrying handle as well as a retractable headset holder. And whenever gamers need to change monitor settings, they can easily do it with the included AOC QuickSwitch controller which lets them select the preset or customised display modes for different game types.

The AOC AGON AG272FCX’s impressive performance and features come encased in an appealing 3-sided “frameless” design with almost invisible bezels on three sides, which is complemented by stylish LED lights on the back and lower side of the frame. For an individual look, the LEDs can be customised in three colors and different brightness levels.
