What is this smart-watch?
This not so well-looking smartwatch is great if your phone quickly runs out of battery. It surely is not the best looking one out there, but it’s definitely helpful if you are spending a lot of time during the day on your device. It basically backs a 1800mAh battery and has a charging port on its aluminum body, that comes in 3 different colors – gold, black, and silver. It looks a bit bulky, but it will serve you good for sure.
The company goes by the name “Wat:t” and tried to make the smartwatch “elegant”, but did not succeed in my opinion. It has a good looking digital display that shows the numbers clearly in all circumstances, but it just does not look like a $100 watch to me… Yeah, it has a great behind the project, but without a good presentation, it wouldn’t hit the top-charts for sure. The whole good think about the design in my opinion, is that it is really lightweight and no matter that it looks bulky, it does not feel as it is on your hand!
Does it deserve to get your hands on it?
Well actually, the answer to that tricky question will depend on your own personality. If you are a person who likes innovations and portability, well yeah, it would suit you. However, if you are from those type of people who’d like to get the best for the money, you’ll simply buy a replica Rolex watch and keep a power-bank in your back pocket as well. But in the second case, the battery life of your smartphone will last longer than the fake Rolex you’ve got…
Jokes aside, the innovation behind the whole device is admirable, but the team that created it should put more dedication and effort if they’d like to cause mass attention. Nowadays, the “best-selling things” on the market are actually judged firstly by the appearance, and in this case, this is not a top priority. Yeah, it is really helpful and portable, but it doesn’t grab your attention at first sight as it should do. The technology on the inside may be revolutionary, but it should be also screaming it from the outside.
For me, the price is a bit high. The company should’ve firstly released the watch at a lower cost, gain fans, and then use the profit to make it even more innovative and ignite that top-selling engine with ease. Of course, that is not my job to judge, and that is why I simply don’t agree with the $100 price tag. It has yet to upgrade until it reaches that money range. For a hundred dollars you can get a more powerful bank, that will offer you even more full charging cycles and will be as convenient as this watch.
