A Gaming Ultrabook By Asus!

It’s been a long time since people are expecting an ultrabook that is thin, powerful and capable of running games smoothly, that also comes at a fair(low) price and I have to announce that it has arrived on the market. The company that offers that experience is Asus and the laptop is a sequel of the ZenBook series, that are known for incredible additions from last year.

In a video presented by Dave Lee, we can see an in-depth view of this awesome notebook, so props to him for the great idea! The laptop is really worth the money and attention, which is why I decided to share it with you. If you are searching for a new model and you are into portable gaming machines, then this is exactly what you need!

Build quality and price

Designed for effortless portability, the UX331 model is just half of an inch thin and 2.5lbs light, with a slim-bezel NanoEdge display that makes it much more compact than a typical 13-inch laptop. This amazing 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen fits in an ultra-compact frame. With a thin 0.27” bezel that gives it an impressive 80% screen-to-body ratio, you’ll feel more immersed in your tasks. It is not the thinnest laptop out there, but it does not need to be, as Asus left enough room for proper ventilation.

The touchpad feels nice and the laptop has an integrated fingerprint sensor, that’ll add to the security and privacy measures. What is more, is that the audio system feels pretty great and produces loud and clear sound, delivered by the smart-amplifier technology, that can boost volume by up to 3.5X by Harman-Kardon, located at the bottom of the notebook. This device will cost you $999 and is one of the best things you can get for this price if you are searching for a notebook of this kind!

Performance and hardware

The other important aspect that we should review is the performance level that is delivered by the hardware & software collaboration. To start off, I want to point out that this laptop operates on Windows 10 OS and it does it pretty well and smooth. The graphics are just phenomenal and are actually one of the best out there on the market. They are discrete NVIDIA MX150, that you can use to enjoy ultra-smooth video playback, superb multimedia creation capabilities and impressive gaming performance.

The specially designed 50Wh lithium-polymer battery gives the notebook up to 14 hours of running time without charging, with fast-charge technology integrated that takes less than an hour to recharge the battery to 60% capacity. Intel Core i5-8250U is the processor that runs all the different tasks you set it on to and it does it pretty quick, which will improve your productivity when working and creating stuff and is crucial when it comes to gaming. When it comes to RAM storage, the device falls in between the standards with 8GB DDR3 loaded up. What is bad, however, is that there is not that much of internal storage capacity. A 256GB SATA SSD is provided, but you can easily upgrade that for some additional cost.

All in all, the laptop runs pretty smooth and is great for people who want something that will back them up when on the go, something that they would not feel that is in their backpack and will not heavily drain their wallet. For the price of $999 I have to admit that this laptop feels really good and is one of the few gaming notebooks out there, so if you think that that this is what you need, then you can order it, as it is already available and in stores!
