Facebook Inc. has been known with strange facts and conspiracies ever since the time they gained tons of popularity. It is clear that recently the company has been under investigation by a United States privacy watchdog, because of accusations of using personal data of 50,000,000 users (United States citizen) that are related to the election of President Donald Trump.
The United States Federal Trade Commission is inspecting if the social-media platform has violated some serious terms of a 2011 consent decree following the revelations that user data had been transferred to Cambridge Analytica, without the user’s knowledge, according to a person familiar with the case.
Under the 2011 settlement, Facebook agreed to get user consent for certain changes to privacy settings as part of a settlement of federal charges that it deceived consumers and forced them to share more personal information than they intended. That complaint arose after the company changed some user settings without notifying its victimized customers, according to an FTC statement at the time.
Investors in this company have driven away from it since the FTC announced that if they find Facebook in violation of those terms, they will be able to fine them thousands of dollars a day per violation. Ever since the FTC found out and declared this, the company has declined in New York trading, falling 3.2 percent to $167, which follows a drop of 6.8 percent Monday.
Many people and countries outside of America don’t appreciate the acts and the very thought behind this evil plan. The chairman of a UK parliamentary committee announced Tuesday he was requesting that Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg, who has remained silent for days, appear before the panel to supplement prior testimony by the company’s executives. Many other important figures are disturbed by the finding and this is actually the latest thing that shows us why we should quit from this ANTI-social media… it is just a company that does not deserve our attention at all.
