It is the year of 2018 and it is well-known that we already have almost everything we need when it comes to technology, that will help us to live a better life. Whether we use it correctly or not is another question, but I am here to show you five things that you will have great use of for your smartphone device!
The list will contain five completely different products, all of which are great for any device out there, especially for the flagship ones. They are at affordable prices and thanks to Austin Evans we will be able to review them even better and take a look at each and every angle of the gadgets.
From incredibly good headphones to screen protectors, adapters, cables and literally cool things that you use every day for your smartphone, all of which are of a superb quality. Let me know in the comment section which one you’ve liked the most and if you are already a user of one of those products, drop a comment on how it works and is it actually worth it.
Marshall MID A.N.C Headphones
If you are a music fan, there is less than no chance that you have never heard of the Marshall company. They are well-known for the music equipment used by professionals and they have been around for almost 60 years, so I can say that they are quite experienced at making music-related products.
Recently they released a pair of headphones that work tremendously good. Not only do they work perfectly, but they sure look this way and bring a unique/luxury feeling along with the pure, bass-rich and clear sound. You may find them a bit expensive, but as soon as you get them and put them on, you will understand that they are worth every single cent.
The price of those Bluetooth and active noise-canceling headphones is $269, but they come with a bunch of features that you will benefit from every day. You can choose between using them wired or wirelessly and you can adjust the noise cancellation from your smartphone with ease.
If you decide to go with the wireless connection, you will have to bear in mind that they can hold up to 20 hours before the need of charging, and you can use them in a range of 30 feet from the device that you have connected them to. Turning off the Active Noise Cancellation (A.N.C) will give you 10+ extra hours of playback time, which means that the headphones can endure 30+ hours on a single charge
The aptX Bluetooth is really powerful and they are perfect for relaxing, music production, DJ-ing, sports and tons of other different activities, related to music. Just put them in the beautiful leather purse-like casing and you can take them anywhere with you, so you can be prepared for any situation or an event.
This pair of headphones by Marshall is surely good when it comes to performance, but the design is something even better in my opinion… the company kept their classic design with the black leather covering and gold Marshall logo on each driver and the inside of the headband. They weight only 200 grams and have an inward-foldable design, which makes them flexible enough to put them in a purse, case or in any bag you want.
On the side (driver), you also have a knob that allows you to easily control your music or phone functionality without the need of touching the source of the music, which combined with the ergonomic fit, smart features, design and literally every aspect of the headphones, is making them a fair competitor on the headphones side of the market. RhinoShield iPhone / Pixel 2 Case
If you get yourself one of the top-end smartphones on the market, then you would like to store it correctly and not have to spend extra money in near future for spare parts like screen, back panel, camera lens and etc., right? You will save yourself tons of headaches and money with just a bumper case that will cost you 1/30 of the whole device.
Let’s face it and be honest – smartphones nowadays are not having the top priority to be made to be indestructible. Manufacturers are making them so that they look stylish, thin, glass covered, bezel-less and anything else that looks aesthetically good, but will break with a single drop. The priority to make them last a long time was at the start of 2000’s and since the smartphones came in at around 2008-2009, they started making them as fragile as possible.
It is a good tactic by big companies, that makes you spend more and more, but for you, it is a bad investment for sure… That’s when cases like RhinoShield come in handy and can save your whole device for just $25. This particular case has an awesome design and weighs only 12 grams, which means that you won’t feel that it is on your device at all.
Not only is it thin, but it has a military grade protection and it can save your phone from a fall of 3.5-4 meters. I don’t know an iPhone or Pixel 2 that will survive a fall from 4 meters (13 ft.) on its bare naked design… I am sure that it will be in 4-5 pieces if you drop it from such height. The RhinoShield will save up to %90 of the critical impact and will give you a perfect grip so that you can hold it firmly and not having to worry that it will slip from your hands because of the slippery back made out of glass.
Be smarter than the manufacturers expect you to be and get yourself one of the RhinoShield bumpers, which one day may save your device and you will find those $25 the best investment of your life. We all know how much of a nightmare it is to break your glass and I do not wish that to anyone, especially users of iPhone X that will have to spend hundreds of dollars in order to repair it…
DJI Osmo Mobile 2
So, we discussed the headphones for your smartphone, the protection for your expensive device, but what happens to the photography enthusiasts or those people who got themselves a flagship device, because of the powerful portable camera possibilities it has? Well, we have something for you as well and it is not just something, but the perfect gadget that you need to make awesome 4K videos!
The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is the best stabilizer for your smartphone and it works with almost all top-end smart devices, enabling you to take professional-like footage, with just your smartphone and the right environment around. If you are using the Google Pixel 2, you are most likely doing it because of the camera features, right? This DJI Osmo will hold your phone in a perfectly still position, no matter if you are moving your hands while making a video, or the perfect panorama picture.
I had the pleasure to use it a few days ago and I have to say that it is awesome! I connected it to my Samsung S8+ and set up my camera according to the lights and I got to say that it works superbly… The very camera of my device has a stabilizer, so with this DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal, it worked even better. It takes panorama pictures better than a professional digital camera…
It is perfect for people who are making money out of YouTube videos, blogging, travelers, or sports enthusiasts who would like to capture their craziest moments. It has a wide field of use and I am sure that you will come up with some really creative content if you decide to go ahead and grab one of those stabilizers for yourself. They are not the cheapest ones on the market for sure, but they are really efficient. The price of the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is around $130 and you can click here to view ads from different sellers on Amazon!
You might have decided to go along with the DJI Osmo Mobile, but bear in mind that it is working with an in-build battery that works for around 15 hours. What are you going to do after that if you’d like to continue your footage? Let’s imagine that you’ve been outside all the day, capturing some awesome moments and just when it is sunset time, you’re about to miss the best photo of the day… what now?
It might be that your smartphone is out of power, or the DJI Osmo battery is low – it happens to everyone. In this case, this is when the Aukey Charger comes in handy. Yes, there are thousands of portable battery chargers out there, but this one has some things that make it a bit different from the rest of the models on the market.
First of all, it turns a single USB-C port into HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and micro SD card slots, USB Type C charging throughput, and dual USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) SuperSpeed ports. Doesn’t it sound too much for its size? I think that with the Aukey Charger you are able to connect everything with ease… If you would like to connect an additional display to your computer – you can do it through the HDMI or VGA port. If you decide to go with the HDMI you can broadcast videos of 4K quality at 30fps, or if you decide to go with the VGA the videos can be up to 1080p.
It has been specially created to work with PC’s like MacBook Pro, MacBook, iMac 2017, Google Chromebook, Google Pixelbook, Lenovo Yoga 900/910 and just the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ smartphone. Of course, you can use it with other smartphone devices, but Aukey does not guarantee that, as well as all the features of the charger, will work for other phones. If it happens that it is incompatible with your smartphone, then you can opt for a refund up to 45 days after the purchase. You can get it for $70 on Amazon by clicking here!
Apple Digital AV Adapter
Android users have tons of different small & portable batteries/hubs to choose from, while those for Apple are not that much. Comparing this item for iOS devices to the previously discussed (Aukey works for most Android smartphones) it is just funny…
You may end up in a situation when you will have to display some kind of footage or files in front of an audience. This audience might be your class, friends, family or you will have to present a business presentation on a TV screen about a certain topic. If you are an iPhone/iPad user, then you can use this Lightning Digital AV Adapter!
It basically mirrors the footage that is showing on your smartphone screen directly on the TV that you have connected it to, and it does it in 1080p resolution. As I have said, it is not as flexible as this one for Android, but it will work just fine if you want to stream media from your iPhone to TV through HDMI cable.
It would have been great if it had the same ability as the Aukey hub, which even allows you to connect a mouse or keyboard to your smartphone and use it as a mini screen or a mini gaming machine, but for now, it is only for Android… The processor and the abilities of the Samsung S8+ are great and I see myself playing GTA San Andreas with a set of keyboard and a mouse directly on my TV using the Aukey for sure… I don’t know about you, but I have already chosen my product from this buyer’s guide, while I was writing it – I am going for the Aukey! Hope you found it useful and I will be glad if you drop a comment on what you liked most from the list!
