Google Pixel – The First Generation Google Smartphone

Let’s take a look at the 2016 first generation Google Smartphone – Google Pixel, which was welcomed by millions of users, and the series turned out to sell and serve really well. The 5.0″ phone operates on Android 7.1 and could be upgraded to Android 8.0, with lots of different software and hardware capabilities.

The general processor unit is Adreno 530, with quad-core (2×2.15 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) central processor unit. It is a well looking, quick and responsive smartphone for a reasonable price of $600 and has literally everything you need. I am sure that Google won’t let down their fans and they will keep upgrading the series and push them to the limits in near future. I have to admit that everything about this phone appeals to me,  and not only me but millions of other users give excellent feedback on how quickly the system works and that everything is top-notch!

Design

Looking at it first, it brings up the idea of a simple, yet efficient and complex phone. On the front, it has a 5.0″ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, all of that covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. There are no unneeded buttons on the front.

The only ones are on the right side and are for volume adjusting and lock. On the back, there is a circular fingerprint sensor that sits below the camera sensor, and both are encased in a glass panel that runs about a third of the way down the back. I really like how the rear camera is positioned at the upper left corner because I personally think that it gives you a wider view when you take pictures.

The well known Google logo also features in the center of the back side. The sides are heavily chamfered, and this helps the device to fit comfortably in your hand. This is one of the easiest phones to hold, helped by the fact it isn’t overly thin. It weight’s only 143g and has 143.8 x 69.5 x 8.5 mm dimensions.

Specs and performance

The Pixel phone is designed for maximum responsiveness and quickness, to assure it’s users that it’d be their personal assistant at any time for anything. If you want a phone with more storage, you’d have to bear in mind that this Google Pixel has 2 versions 32GB internal storage and 128GB and does not support memory card slot both with 4GB RAM!

The processor used, as I already said above, is Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, which ensures the quickness at any time. With all these technical characteristics I can promise you that the phone is incredible for games and will load and present them in the best way possible, you just have to think what’d you store in the 32 or 128 GB.

Camera

The camera is one of the things I love most about this machine. The front one is 8MP, while the back one is 12.3MP with dual-led flash. It could record high-quality videos in up to 2160p at 30 frames per second and has laser autofocus and 1.55-micron pixel completed with f/2.0 lens. While most phone cameras are perfect and only look good in daylight, Google stands out because the Pixel works incredibly in low-light environments and also at night. It exposes light well, keeps noise to a minimum while also managing to pick out tremendous amounts of detail.
